How long does it take to transfer a domain name?
It usually takes about 5-7 days to complete the domain transfer. One must take note that there are a few steps involved which include:
- Cooperation of the prior registrar and;
- Ensuring that the domain owner unlocked the domain while providing the correct authorization code.
Can domains be changed or altered during the transfer?
Definitely not! During the transfer process, you can’t change WHOIS registration information, update your nameservers, or renew the domain subscription. But don’t worry, these changes can all be easily done after the transfer is complete.
Why is my domain locked?
