Mac OS can be tricky, and even though it\u2019s supposed to have a much simpler interface and functionality, it still is a primitive technology to some. Well, this time, you don\u2019t need to break a sweat when it comes to connecting your Microsoft Exchange IMAP email to your Outlook app for Mac.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Look for the <\/span>Outlook <\/b>app and <\/span>launch<\/span><\/i>.\n

    <\/span><\/li>\n

  2. If Outlook has not recognised any registered email, you will be asked to add your Exchange account (sample: <\/span>yourusername@yourorganisation.com.sg<\/span><\/a>).<\/span>\n

    • Once done, click <\/span>Add (your username or email address)<\/b>.\n

      <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

    • If there is an existing email under Outlook, here\u2019s what you need to do:<\/span>\n
        \n
      • Click on the <\/span>Outlook<\/b> menu, then hit <\/span>Preferences<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • On the next window, click on <\/span>Accounts<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • At the bottom left of the next screen, click on the + (plus sign), then select <\/span>New Account<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Type in your email address, then click <\/span>Continue<\/b>.
        \n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Login with your password. If you have two-factor authentication set up, this may proceed, as well (if you have arranged this before). The next message you should see will be \u201dConnecting to Office 365\u201d. Once successful, you will then see \u201c___ has been added.\u201d<\/span>\n

        • If the message says “We’re sorry, access is not allowed because you are not enrolled. Please contact your organization’s IT help desk for assistance”, contact your email provider to have this set up for you.\n

        • Hit <\/span>Done<\/b> when you\u2019re good to go!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
